Plasmapolitan (2025)

My continent is flesh and blood, root and stem, the earth, water, and the sky. Everything else is a construct.

This painting came to me at a moment of disarray, feeling adrift in my own life decisions. I felt like a head in a box, looking out at those who move freely with fluidity through the stages of life. Those who live more boldly and organically, staying true to themselves.

Yet I came to accept the multiplicity of my being. It is both structure and chaos, a culture with no tradition, a non-linear journey. My life is both a playground and an obstacle course. My body is a continent; it boasts its own unique landscapes, climates, and hidden depths. There is so much more left to discover.
